Our Editing and Coaching Team

Allison

Allison is the founder, CEO, and Senior Editor of Golden Editorial. She loves helping authors refine their writing and publish polished, professional books. For the last five years, she has coached authors through every stage of the publishing journey—from first draft to book launch.

With experience managing the backend of indie publishing, coordinating successful book launches, and creating realistic publishing timelines, Allison brings both editorial expertise and practical publishing knowledge to every coaching session.

Julie

Julie is an award-winning romance author represented by Chip Rice at WordLink, Inc. She guides fellow authors in refining their manuscripts and query materials so they can confidently pitch agents and pursue traditional publication.

With firsthand experience navigating the querying trenches and landing representation, Julie's one of the best resources in the industry. She writes stories about hope, heartbreak, and happily-ever-afters—with humor and heart along the way.

Claire

Claire has been editing fiction and nonfiction for more than four years, with a background in PR and marketing that shapes how she helps authors think beyond the manuscript. She is a member of ACES and the EFA and is currently working toward her Poynter-ACES editing certification.

At Golden Editorial, she takes on developmental and line edits, and she is happiest with romance, romantasy, and nonfiction projects. When she's not at her desk, she's probably out in the garden fussing over her roses or playing with her two dogs, Georgia and Bo.

Betsy

Betsy has been editing fiction and nonfiction for two years. Specializing in copy and line editing, she adores working with speculative fiction, especially fantasy.

Betsy holds a Copyediting Certificate from the University of California, San Diego, and is a member of ACES and the Editorial Freelancers Association (EFA). She also holds undergraduate degrees in English literature and history and two master’s degrees in education. Her background in literature and education informs her approach to editing, and she enjoys supporting authors across genres and at all stages of their writing journeys.

When she isn’t reading or editing, Betsy enjoys spending time with her children, playing video games, and cooking.

Ashlyn

Ashlyn provides compassionate and effective editing services to help authors strengthen their manuscripts while preserving their unique voices. She has been editing professionally for two years and especially enjoys working on contemporary fiction, memoir, and Christian nonfiction.

She holds a B.A. in English and is a graduate of the Denver Publishing Institute at the University of Denver. When she's not editing, she's most likely to be found browsing her local library, trying a new coffee shop, or out for a walk around her neighborhood.

Lenora

Lenora is an author support specialist with thirteen years experience in the book publishing space. She specializes in author newsletter setup and management. She is Mailchimp-certified, and is familiar with many email marketing platforms. She provides coaching, book launch support, KDP publishing assistance and short or long-term author assistance.

Her preferred genres are historical fiction, Christian fiction, women's fiction, literary fiction and contemporary romance.

An author ally, she thrives helping authors do the next write thing. When not engrossed in a book, she's buzzing around her kitchen or garden.
